William Wyndham

William Wyndham is a visual artist based in West Wales.

​

During his career he has worked  in animation, film, costume and set design, though for him, the source of inspiration for all this work is ultimately drawing and painting.

​

Introduced to oil paint at an early age, he has a deep awareness of paint’s potential for expression of the inner world, and believes that through drawing we can deepen our awareness and connection with the natural world. 

​

These understandings were developed further whilst training at Leith School of Art, Edinburgh College of Art, and under the tutelage of Maggie Hambling CBE at Morley College in London. 

 

In recent years, he has committed solely to his painting roots – sharpening his craft with an ongoing study of ancient and traditional techniques, and combining subjects both internal and external. His paintings have been widely reproduced through various album covers he has produced for the music industry over the years, and he has previously worked as a professional portrait painter.

 

He is excited to share his vision of painting and art making with others, and the technical knowledge he has accrued.
