Our 19th century farmhouse stands proudly at the front of the hamlet, looking down through the steeply wooded valley to the lake.
The House is large, comfortable and rustic, with whitewashed walls and white painted floors, filled with colourful artwork, spacious light work space, large airy bedrooms and plenty of places to relax.

FOOD
Our French markets are a seasonal delight with smallholder farmers bringing in amazing quality vegetables, fruits , cheeses and wines , as well as lots of other interesting produce, and the market cafes are a great place to have coffee and soak up the atmosphere ...

Food here is an integral part of the local culture, and we want to ensure that is plays a crucial role in your stay at The Canard Sauvage. The local wines are also a very high standard and are an important part of the gastronomic experience we provide.
BEAUTIFUL VIEWS
The Canard Sauvage is part of a beautiful little hillside hamlet, Peyralade. The views are spectacular, combining the striking forest and the ethereal lake at the bottom of the hill.

Peyralade Lake is one of the most fabulous hidden treasures that the Canard Sauvage offers - the sense of space and calm is unlike anywhere else. This is a favourite place to set up your easel and a most inspiring location for painting or drawing plein air.

You will also be able to enjoy lovely walks around the lake, or foraging throughout the beautiful countryside.

ACCOMMODATION
We have five bedrooms available giving guests a great choice of accommodation.
Choose from: sharing a twin room en suite or a dorm (at reduced prices) or a large master suite with bath (perfect for couples.)
RELAX & UNWIND
We want our guests to have a relaxed and fulfilling stay at The Canard Savage, at the same time improving their creative skills. Guests are free to have a dip in the swimming pool. There are also numerous spots around the house and open air studio where you can plonk a deckchair and soak up the sun.
